In almost 100 years the family business has developed into a well-known brand throughout Germany. Our logo

The oscillograph, our registered trademark, represents the development of our business fields. It stands for the continous expansion of our technical skills in the highly contested ground between the market and customers.

Our name

Franz Freitag, the company´s founder, set up Elektro Freitag in 1922. His son, Dipl.-Ing. Ludwig Freitag, who joined the electrical installations company in 1953 at the start of Germany´s "economic miracle", developed Elektro Freitag into an organisation employing 250 staff by the end of the 1980s.

Joachim Freitag and Dr Michael Freitag represent the third generation of the family company. Since the start of the 1990s they have been intensively building up and expanding the Freitag Group. By establishing new companies, takeovers and acquisitions, the Freitag Group has now grown to a total of 25 highly competent companies working in the fields of energy and media supplies. Today the Freitag Group employs 2700 highly skilled and qualified staff. A number that is continuously rising.
